~ AC&C 2026 ~
Tag Contest
For the first time at Area 2 AC&C we will be hosting a TAG CONTEST on Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. Tag Contests were successfully held at Harmony Fest West 2025 and IC&C 2025, and we'd like to start a new tradition in Area 2.
So, start thinking about organizing a quartet and picking a tag. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 quartets.
Quartets can pre-register by contacting our Tag Contest Coordinator, David Patterson at tagcontest@area2harmony.org.
Eligibility:
- All Harmony, Inc. members, including Associate and Affiliate members, are eligible.
- Registered quartets are not eligible. No more than two members of a registered quartet may be part of a quartet competing in the Tag Contest.
- A person may sing in more than one quartet.
General:
- Each participating quartet must have a name.
- A quartet, if they choose to do so, may sing their tag over again. If they choose to do a “do over,” the second performance will be the one which is scored.
- Keep in mind… “performance” and “apparel” could influence your scores.
- To rehearse your tag, you are encouraged to form your “Tag Quartet” before AC&C and register for the contest before arriving. This also provides an opportunity to coordinate your apparel and rehearse your performance plan (if you choose to do so).
- Once the session has started, there can be no rehearsing within earshot of the Tag Contest site (Sovereign Room).
- There will be prizes for the top three quartets.
Registration:
- Quartets may enter the contest at any time before the beginning of the contest session.
- When registering, please provide the quartet’s name, what chapters are represented, and the names of four individuals in the quartet.
- Quartets can pre-register by email at tagcontest@area2harmony.org.
- Quartets can register in the Airport Lounge (Hospitality Room). Look for the registration sheet when you pick up your All-Events Pass.
- Quartets can register with a hand-written card, given to the Tag Contest Organizers, David Patterson or Jordan Kugler before the event.
Judges:
- Stacy Hugman, Gaye LaCasce
